well it's a fast paced modern shooter so it's obviously going to draw similarities but if any i'd say black ops cuz i really like it and mw3 is shit so it didn't influence me at all. my biggest influence in Intruder is FEAR, BF, Max Payne, Splinter Cell, some cod4 and BO.
I must find the time to myself away from nexus and enjoy this game as well.
P.S. Is the terrain destructible?
most of the dynamic and static objects but not the ground - you need to walk somewhere :)
Well, the only improvement I can think of is that it would have looked nice in the Intruder series trademark red, black, and grey color scheme.
Also sounds are important; might want to add in some of those.
well it has the traditional color flavors and menu looks - most red is in the blood ;) - also you can dress up very similar to enemies as in Returns and as the Intruder.

My only regret is that the game seem to have fallen the deadly affliction of all side scrollers: the characters sprites are swapped when they turn, result in their gun seemingly swapping hands a light speed.
lol it's 2d so it has to be like this,
and a fun fact: my animation system supports full mirroring so it can simulate the characters view from 'the other side' but you need new graphics for each body part and with so much customization i didn't draw so many new parts.

I am incredibly confused: does this game have competitive multiplayer or not?
no - i said this a million times already, this is offlline multiplayer with bots like unreal flash, raze or armor mayhem. but the bots are a bit more intelligent than in those games.
